Empty Bowls, an international project to fight hunger, is an artisan charitable concept that varies from community to community. Its theme: "eat simply, so others can simply eat."
Here on the island, buy a handcrafted bowl and eat some soup. But of course, it's Palm Beach! Last year, that meant the the local restaurants were the likes of Buccan, Bistro Chez Jean-Pierre, Café Boulud, and PB Catch just to namedrop a few best-loved restaurants that provided a variety of soups, chowders and chilis. Fresh baked rolls were provided by Old School Bakery in Delray Beach.
