Many miles to hike! Palm Beach County is home to a plethora of parks and natural areas with a variety of native ecosystems. Different soil and water salinity play a part in determining the type of plant system that will thrive. According to the county website, within the parks system you can experience nine different unique ecosystems and plenty of wildlife. More on that in upcoming blogs.

Now for a brief overview of places to take a hike. The Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation Department oversees almost ninety parks that offer all sorts of outdoor activities.
