Palm Beach has a colorful history, full of larger than life characters in its early days. Did you know that one of the local celebrities in the 1920s was a spider monkey named Johnnie Brown? In fact, his is one of only two graves ever allowed on the island. Owned by famed (and eccentric) architect Addison Mizner, Johnnie was officially on the ballot for Mayor of Palm Beach.
